At BAAR (Art Journey and Residency), we sit at the intersection of art and culture. BAAR provides alignment, and residency services for gallerists, artists, collectors and events. Our expertise spans across emerging, mid career, contemporary and established artists categories.
HOW
- BAAR specializes in scouting and identifying art created by female and/or BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities.
- BAAR helps gallerists understand the cultures of those they represent and find new talent to represent. WE PARTNER WITH GALLERIES.
- BAAR helps ideate and create psychological safety and inclusion spaces at art institutions, events and galleries in order to foster sustainably inclusive experiences for underrepresented art enthusiasts, collectors and patrons.
- BAAR facilitates relationships on behalf of artists, collectors, institutions and venues.
- BAAR supports entrepreneurs who are working to diversify art spaces and places via their e-commerce, AR/VR technologies, and/or business endeavors which aim to diversify art, places and spaces
- BAAR represents artists by providing network building, awareness via our journey, placement and brand partnership services.
- BAAR aligns with collectors of art from BiPoC and African Diaspora communities in order to amplify their collections and share what art moves them in order to make art places and spaces more inclusive.
- BAAR organizes a six week European residency program which takes place in Berlin, Basel and Mexico City, The "Reflection Journey(TM)" which provides an opportunity for underrepresented artists to experience an external view of their culture and create art unapologetically. The residency / journey is intended to disrupt the social injustice backdrop which has crippled a lot of individuals from underrepresented communities for decades. The "Reflection Journey" is meant to enable the artist an opportunity to unleash their creative expression while providing unique opportunities for artists to engage with community, institutions, artists and collectors throughout Germany, Amsterdam, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, the Americas, Asia and Sweden.
