    Our EU “Reflection Journey” for artists requires alignment with institutions, brands and hospitality partners. Are you actively working to increase cultural inclusion as an organization? If so, partner with us.

We also align with collectors and art activists, institutions and gallerists who push the envelope to make art spaces and places more representative of society and reflective of the art which they gravitate towards.

    June Smith is the first Black female Executive Director of Valley Arts. She is of Caribbean descent, a US immigrant and graduate of Rutgers University where she holds a mini-MPA, and a double degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.

    Dwight O. Smith has been a supporter of BAAR from jump. He was approached by our founder after he was talking about his collection on Facebook live and the rest is history. Dwight and his wife are avid collectors of fine art, supporting local, national, and international artists.

The BAAResidency website is operated by UNITED17 Ventures UG. The following
terms and conditions apply when engaging with our website, utilizing our services, attending workshops, and/or editorial coverage. In accepting our terms and conditions, you agree to abide by them while also confirming that you have read the information in our privacy policy concerning how we use your personal data and how we manage cookies.

Customer data

When joining our community, or utilizing our services, you will be asked to provide certain personal data. You are responsible for the information 
provided being both accurate and complete, and you are also responsible
for any damages or delays caused by inaccurate information.
We process the personal data you provide and/or the information we collect on the website via cookies. This data may be used for the purposes of identification, direct marketing, customer surveys, newsletters and statistics. You may contact us at any time to stop any further direct marketing encompassing you as a customer.

You have the right of access to any personal data concerning you that we process. BAAResidency is entitled under certain circumstances to charge a fee for providing such data. You also have the right to request that any information concerning you be rectified or erased. Furthermore, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal

Intellectual property rights

This website is owned by BAAResidency. The content is protected by intellectual property rights and the Unfair Competition Act (UWG). This means that trademarks, trade names, product names, images, graphics, designs, layouts and information about products, services and other content may not be copied or used without prior written permission from BAAResidency.

Private Collections

Collections represented, managed and/or placed by BAAResidency are confirmed as authentic prior to representation or placement. Collectors are responsible for providing accurate information.

Artist Residency

Residencies are coordinated and organized by BAAResidency and Associates and UNITED 17 Ventures UG alongside third party partners. BAAResidency is not liable for damages enroute or when on the premises. It is the responsibility of the artist and our partners to provide accurate information regarding the venues, locations and third party vendors providing lodging, space and patrons with access to the art, artists and itinerary aligned with BAAResidency activities while in Europe, Asia and USA.   If activities, lodging or other arrangements are are not on official letterhead from BAAResidency, then BAAResidency is not liable for incidences or activities engaged in during the residency.

Complaints & Right of withdrawal

Right of withdrawal
You have a 30 day right of withdrawal once you sign on as a collector or and artist being represented by BAAResidency. This period for this right of withdrawal begins the day after you have signed agreements for representation and or collector management. All advisory and management contracts are one year in length.

- if advisory and/or representation agreements are terminated after the 30 day right of withdrawal, there may be costs due at time of termination. 
- If you choose to terminate our services, you must send us notification via email and certified mail. 
- BAAResidency does, however, reserve the right to charge an administration fee for contract cancellation and network access incurred if a justified reason for cancellation of advisory or collector management is not provided.

Our network ecosystem has been built over decades, therefore we value these networks. Access is granted as a result of  trust amongst those we serve and those who help us provide visibility of both the artists and the institutions we serve.  
Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to collection loans and /?or artist representations which have already been promised to our partners for upcoming programming, events or fairs. 

Complaints

All customers have a right to express their disappointments and/or complaints with our services. Please send an email to support@BAAResidency.com
Workshops

If you pay for a workshop that costs and is conducted online, you are entitled to withdraw your application within 14 days prior to the event, after we confirm it by writing to academy@baaresidency.com. You are then entitled to a full
refund of your tuition. You are not entitled to a refund if you need to cancel under a 14 day time period prior to the workshop if there is a cost.

An application to a BAAResidency course (more than 2 modules) is binding. If you withdraw your application 30 days or more before the course starts, you will be charged 30% of the tuition, 40% between 30 and 14 days and 100% after that. You are not eligible for a refund 14 days prior to the course.

BAAResidency has the right to cancel a course if not enough people apply. You will receive your entire tuition back in that case. We can postpone a course for a week without being obligated to issue refunds. If we postpone a weekend workshop, we repay the entire tuition. BAAResidency reserves the right to make changes to the programme due to unforseen circumstances and will inform you of the change at a minimum of 7 days prior or you will receive a full refund.

Holidays and breaks

Unless otherwise stated, our courses follow their regular schedule on both holidays and breaks.

Illness

We may be able to refund your tuition if you file an application, along with a written doctor's certificate stating that you are ill. 

Masterclass Workshops

Your booking is binding. If you withdraw your application 30 days or more before the workshop begins, we will refund the entire tuition minus an administrative charge of $120 or 100 euros.
